About this blog

The content of this website is mine alone and does not necessarily reflect the views of the U.S. Government, the Peace Corps, or the Mozambique Government.

First and foremost, this blog was created because I am a lazy communicator. I hate telling the same stories over and over again to multiple people, so I wanted to use this blog as an easy way for me to share media, stories, and updates about my time in Mozambique with everyone who cares with minimal effort on my part.

I also hope to use it as a means of self-reflection. I’ve never been the journaling type, but I do want to have some type of regular reflection during my service, and I hope having to update this blog on a regular basis so that my grandparents know I am alive will force me to do this.

Finally, I wanted to create this blog to help other future volunteers. From the time I started thinking about applying, until the time that I was getting ready to leave, I found the information on other volunteer’s blogs to be by far the most valuable. I hope to give an honest and informative account of my experience, so that those who are considering Peace Corps will have an idea of what they’re getting themselves into… Even though I am not sure I actually have a clue what I am getting myself into at this point

I hope that I can fulfill these goals I have set out, and I hope in the process you can enjoy following along! Please subscribe, and feel free to follow me on other forms of social media. I would love to hear if there are any specific questions or things you would like to see featured on my blog!
